Our Team

From the initial sales call to the final shipment, when you deal with Rapid you deal with the top people in their field. Our team consists of over 200 employees, each dedicated to making your Rapid product the best it can be.

Sales

Our Sales Department can help you select the appropriate piece of equipment for your specific application. From the simplest powerstat to a fully integrated rectifier-transformer system with harmonic filter and power factor correction, Rapid's experienced sales staff can help you develop your specific requirements, and then provide you with the solution to your power conversion needs.

Engineering

Our Engineering Department is staffed with highly skilled professionals, with decades of experience in power and control design and applications. We use that vast knowledge to individually engineer each unit, ensuring the final product meets or exceeds your exact specifications. Utilizing a fully automated drafting system with state-of-the-art software and hardware, we produce the documentation necessary to manufacture and support your equipment.

Manufacturing

Throughout the manufacturing process, we carefully check each product to ensure Rapid's stringent procedures and processes are being followed. Our well-trained shop floor personnel are managed by foremen with the special knowledge required to produce the highest quality power conversion equipment available.

Quality Control and Final Test

Each piece of equipment we build is rigorously tested and put through a systematic quality control examination to assure that only the best equipment is shipped from Rapid.

Our test facilities utilize sophisticated equipment to verify that the power supply you receive is exactly what you ordered. Our staff of highly competent test technicians performs a full range of operational and functional testing, and maintain complete documentation of all test procedures and results.

Prior to shipment, a final quality control inspection is performed. Our reputation is on the line with each and every piece of equipment that we ship, and your satisfaction is important to us.

Our Facilities

All Rapid equipment is designed, manufactured and tested in our corporate headquarters in South Burlington, Vermont. With over 150,000 square feet of office, warehousing and manufacturing space we can accommodate even the largest project.

To better serve our customers, we maintain satellite sales offices in South Carolina, Connecticut and Canada. Each of these offices is manned by members of our professional sales staff who keep in constant communication with our home office.

Each Rapid Service Engineer has complete access to our multi-million dollar inventory of spare parts, as well as the knowledge and experience of our Engineering and R&D staffs. We can provide replacement parts for any brand of power supply you may own.

Our Repair Department is a professional complement to our Service Department. Speedy, quality repairs get you back into production with little hassle and with a minimum of down-time.
