Rapid Power's smaller footprint rack-mountable "Space Saver" SCR Thyristor offers all the same ultra-reliable power rectification features you’ve come to expect of our standard SCR's, including sealed electronics! Rapid’s thermo-mechanical design allows all control circuitry and wiring to be safely sealed away from the corrosive plating atmosphere which is the major reason for rectifier failures. Housed in an industrial grade epoxy-coated enclosure with a heavy gauge stainless steel front panel, this powerhouse is built to last.

Conventional SCR (figure 1) The 200 Amp, 6 Volt SCR on the left takes up 3.3 square feet. Ten of them would take up 33 square feet of valuable floor space.
