Rapid Power Technologies offers a complete line of high efficiency DC power supplies for the cleaning, pickling, treating and finishing of steel in continuous strip operations.
Our units are designed, built and tested in accordance with ANSI C34.2 specifications, and are available with ratings from 6 to 100 volts and 50 to 50,000 amperes.
The power supplies may be forced air-cooled, direct water-cooled or closed loop liquid-cooled.
Cleaning, pickling, and treating rectifiers contain solid state polarity reversing, with the Rapid exclusive "brain" to provide instantaneous, on-load forward or reverse current.
All units may be interfaced with a PLC, either digitally, via an RS 422/485, using industry standard protocols, or through an isolated analog interface, so the current may be controlled as a function of line speed.
