Rapid Power Corporation offers the widest range of power supplies for Electrowinning cell applications of any manufacturer in the world. Rapid is also the only supplier in North America to manufacture the transformer and rectifier at the same facility. This assures that the complete transformer/rectifier system is tested as a unit, allowing for a smooth start-up.

Our power supplies are precision engineered and are self contained in a heavy gauge steel enclosure. Liquid (mineral oil or silicone) or dry transformers are both available. The rectifier may be air cooled, closed loop liquid cooled or indirect liquid to water cooled. Each power supply is designed for the application, site conditions and individual customer specifications. Rapid's power supplies are used around the world for a variety of Electrowinning applications and as "booster" rectifiers to existing systems.

Standard Features:

• Copper bus, high efficiency, precision shunt for control and metering, and space heaters.
• Forced sharing of parallel thyristors, automatic control with manual override.

Standard Protection Features:

• Individually fused thyristors, thyristor and transformer thermal Sensors.
• Electronic peak overload detector, water flow and leak detectors, air flow dectectors.
• PLC interface

Optional Features:

• AC high voltage starting equipment, DC disconnecting switchgear, redundant (N+1) SCRs.
• Trigger fuses, redundant pumps, hall effect current transducer for control & metering
• Harmonic filters, cathodic protection, annunciators, lifting eyes, special paint.
• 50°C ambient, NEMA 4 and NEMA 12 enclosures.
